Take Capital Beltway west to Virginia. After crossing the American Legion Bridge, Take Exit 41 to the George Washington Memorial Parkway. After approximately 11 miles, take the Interstate 395 North exit (the 14th Street Bridge) to cross over the Potomac River. Interstate 395 will divide, with 395 going north to North Capital, but you should continue east on the Eisenhower Freeway to the Pennsylvania Avenue exit. Pennsylvania Avenue immediately crosses the Anacostia River - turn left on Minnesota Avenue for approximately one mile and turn right (at stop light) Onto Ely Place. Rink will be on your right in approximately 0.5 of a mile.

From the Capital Beltway, take the Baltimore-Washington Parkway south to Washington for 7 miles. The road will split as you approach your exit. Stay with the left fork, to 295 and 95, and avoid the right fork which leads to Washington. Take the Minnesota Ave./Burroughs Ave. exit, which is immediately preceded by signs for the Aquatic Gardens. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto Burroughs Ave., go under two overpasses and turn right onto Minnesota Ave. immediately after the second overpass. Proceed south for 1 .5 miles on Minnesota Ave., and turn left at stop light onto Ely Place. Rink and parking lot will be on your right in 0.5 of a mile.
