Hey Bud,
I
saw you put my signing up on the website
and I wanted to say hello and tell
everyone how I am doing for all the guys
back at the rink. I played my first game
last weekend against grand rapids and
believe it or not, I actually scored my
first professional goal as well in the
second period. It happened so fast but
it was basically a 3-2 rush and I was
the middle lane drive heading to the
net, the D left me alone and my winger
saw that and just hit me with a perfect
tape to tape pass which I was able to
redirect five hole on the goalie trying
to come across.
|
|
I
didn't even celebrate I was so shocked,
I just stood there behind the net with
the biggest smile on my face and was
just like holy xxxxt, did I really just
score my first goal. It was pretty cool,
something I will never forget that's for
sure. I played last night as well,
against Iowa, was not able to score but
I felt more comfortable out there and
starting to get a grasp on the pro style
of game, which is a lot different from
college. |
|
Everything is great, Toronto is
unbelievable and the city is awesome, I
really cant' explain how much fun it is
playing professional hockey. Just a
dream that finally came true. But I just
wanted to say hello and everything, tell
the boys in the pro shop and Binns that
I said hello and everything else.
Thanks so much,
Jeff
