Green Mountain Glades goaltender
Dan Meyers has committed to
UMass
-
Amherst (D-1)
for next fall. Meyers, 6’3
215lb., is rated second in EJHL
goaltenders with a 6-3-3 record
and 2.40 GAA and a .932 save
percentage. Meyers is originally
from Voorhees, New Jersey and
played AAA hockey for the Mercer
Chiefs and Philadelphia Jr.
Flyers. The Glades are
currently in fourth place in the
EJHL’s Northern Division. |

will tell you that defense wins
championships. The
Sioux Falls
Stampede - USHL
are
hoping that is truly the case.
The Herd are home to the top two
goaltenders in the league in
Alex Kangas and
John Murray. The
dynamic duo have combined to
start the season 16-3-0 with a
2.11 GAA and a .928 save
percentage and are the main
reason the Stampede are off to
their second best start in
franchise history and sit atop
the West Division.
John Murray is also on NHL
Central Scouting as a goaltender

Barry Goers, another Green Mt
Glades player, is from Ivyland, PA
where he attended Council Rock
North High School and played for
the Philadelphia Junior Flyers
Midget Major AAA. Barry has
committed to
UMass - Lowell (D-1)
for next season.
Barry will be joined by team
mate Paul Worthington,
Worthington played locally for
the Mercer Chiefs Midget AAA
team. |

Shane played a year in the EJHL
with Bridgewater, Shane McGary
is suiting up for
Plattsburgh State (D-3)
Men's Ice Hockey Team. Shane's
older brother Pat, plays for
Hamilton College (D-3).
Shane's younger brother Tim
currently plays for the
Jr Flyers
Midget AAA team. |

Professional League goal on
12-3-2005 against
Grey Shaneberger's
team Roanoke Vipers Grey is
also a former
Jr Flyer Player. Both
David Moccia, Ct College D-3 and Grey
Shaneberger University of Maine D-1 made
the jump to the College Varsity team
right from the Jr. Flyers Midget Major
